United Working Families announces Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx endorsement in video featuring 2020 candidates

Chicago - The Friends for Foxx campaign received a major endorsement from local labor organization, United Working Families. Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx is one of only nine endorsement recipients from UWF ahead of the March primaries.

"As Cook County State's Attorney, Kim Foxx has fought tirelessly against the root causes of violence and mass incarceration. She has exonerated 80 wrongful convictions, reduced prosecution of low-level offenses, and worked to expunge over 1,000 low-level possession convictions,” said UWF Executive Director Emma Tai. “These measures are essential to undoing the racist legacy and continued harm to communities of color under the failed War on Drugs."

I'm determined to keep working for our communities, delivering the change needed to bring real justice reform to families impacted by the injustices of our criminal system,” said Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx. “We will continue to remove those roadblocks that hold our communities back.”

This support demonstrates the positive impact Foxx’s work has had on communities bringing much needed criminal reform to help uplift those suffering the consequences of injustice. Earning this kind of widespread support is a testament to the work Foxx has done for Cook County.
